Announcement posted by Big Switch Projects 18 Jan 2011

Gemma Borgo-Caratti & the 2011 Inspire Antarctic Expedition

Antarctica may be the last great wilderness but it’s not often thought of as a venue for leadership programs. In March, Sydneysider and climate change campaigner Gemma Borgo-Caratti will join other young people from around the globe on the Inspire Antarctic Expedition.

Gemma is the only Australian to take part in the 2011 Inspire Antarctic Expedition (IAE). The mission of the IAE and 2041 is to create awareness of the Antarctic and to insist that it is protected and never exploited for its mineral resources. The expedition achieves this by informing, engaging and inspiring the next generation of leaders to take responsibility, be sustainable, and know that now is the time for action in policy development, sustainable business generation through the promotion of recycling, renewable energy and sustainability. To find out more about the expedition visit www.2041.com Big Switch Projects is proud to support Gemma on this expedition.
