New Browser-based Management Solution Makes Centralised Monitoring, Administration and Reporting Easy and Affordable
LEGATO Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: LGTO), a worldwide leader in enterprise content and storage management software, announces the availability of NetWorker Management Console, a browser-based solution for managing LEGATO NetWorker through centralised monitoring and enterprise-level reporting that maximises administrator productivity in small or large heterogeneous enterprise environments.
Todays business environment requires mission-critical applications that protect data in the data centre and across an enterprise. Tools that keep such applications highly available, limit and monitor user access, enable remote administration, and provide environmental information to ensure optimum performance and scalability, are increasingly valuable to ensure reliable protection of storage assets and minimise downtime costs, said Steve Kenniston, analyst, Enterprise Storage Group. With todays announcement, LEGATO has set a new standard for the quality and quantity of enterprise-level reporting and monitoring capabilities, helping IT take another important step toward utility-type efficiencies in storage management.

The enterprise-level reporting feature provides more than 40 detailed reports that contain backup statistics, monitor and measure success levels, and track events that require administrator attention. By elevating the capabilities of the LEGATO NetWorker Administration management tool with an industry-standard SQL database, the report offerings of NetWorker Administration are expanded to also allow the administrator to export report information to third-party formats.
