Mothers Day album supports National Breast Cancer Foundation
Heaven Touches Earth by Debbie Howard
With Mothers Day coming up, one of Australia's newest recording artist’s, Debbie Howard is supporting the National Breast Cancer Foundation with this inspirational album - Heaven Touches Earth. Deb's angelic voice will leave you breathless as she performs well known timeless and contemporary classics such as The Prayer, You Raise Me Up and Climb Every Mountain.
The album features a number ofGeelong (Victoria) artists, including John Shawcross (piano & orchestration), Sally Hobbs (flute), Dan Zampatti (percussion) and Isaac Barter (bass). As well as the Melbourne based "Silo" string quartet and Mary Doumany (harp).
Debbie is committed to supporting the work of charities and overseas missions and has partnered with a number of organisations to raise funds through the sale proceeds of this album. “Since the release of the album in early December 2010, sale proceeds have raised in excess of $12,000 for charities and overseas mission projects. The support I have received has been overwhelming and it is wonderful that so many worthwhile causes can be supported. I look forward to continuing this work, through supporting the National Breast Cancer Foundation.”
This album has been a lifelong dream for Debbie and her desire is that it inspires and encourages people particularly through the hard times of life.
“We all have a story to tell in life sometimes it appears we’ve come to the end of the path, but it is just a bend in the road. My dream was to sing, to minister to people through music, but a health condition has limited my ability to perform live. So I held onto this dream over many years and in 2010, I decided to alter my dream slightly and record this album – Heaven Touches Earth.”
