40 years of making Sparkling wines

Father and daughter winemakers Howard & Christobelle Anderson are coming to Canberra in May to celebrate Howard's 40th year of making traditional method sparkling wines. He started at Seppelt Great Western in 1971 and after spending 15 years as winemaker there, has now been making wines under his own "Anderson" label in Rutherglen for nearly 20 years.
Guests will enjoy a divine degustation of 7 courses matched to 7 Anderson Sparkling wines.

Proposed menu:

Canapes
Smoked salmon with a Greek yogurt jelly topped with roe and baby herbs on pumpernickel bread
Warm tart of flossed duck with a peppered and orange curd

2000 Pinot noir Chardonnay (Whitlands cool climate grapes)

Togarashi incrusted blue eye cod served with an apple, cucumber and wasabi salad
2002 Sparkling Chenin blanc

Gingered pork loin with sweet potato puree, apple sage compote and English spinach
2004 Sparkling Shiraz

Char grilled lamb loin with a warm potato salad, sugar snap peas and Cumberland sauce
2002 Cellar block Sparkling Shiraz (5 Gold medals & 1 trophy)

Herb crumbed venison with a panache of vegetables, caramelized onion vol au vent and mustardcream

2005 Sparkling Durif

Selection of cheeses with house made preserve and water crackers
1992 Special Aged release Sparkling Shiraz

Peach bavarois with a mini cinnamon donut, peach compote and blueberry coulis
2011 Verrier Sparkling “Lizzie” (made from early picked Rutherglen Muscat)
