Offering teachers a new way to educate through projection

Sydney, Australia, May 10, 2011 – ViewSonic, global technology provider and renowned worldwide leader of visual display products today announced four new projector models to its 7 Series projector range – PJD7383, PJD7383i, PJD7583w and PJD7583wi. Aimed at the education and training sectors, the 3D-ready ViewSonic 7 Series projectors present a multitude of teacher-friendly features and offer valuable additions to any interactive classroom environment.

With a convenient classroom set up, the ViewSonic “i” Series projectors – PJD7383i and the new PJD7583wi negate the need for costly interactive whiteboards as teachers are able to write directly onto the projected image with the included interactive pen. Bundled RM Easy Teach software assists this innovation, with seamless integration of the hardware and curriculum software for a rapid return on investment.

The ViewSonic 7 Series provide a visual source for dynamic presentations and feature amazingly small throw ratio. With short throw projection, the ViewSonic 7 Series project 80-inch images presented from just one metre away putting an end to teachers being blinded by the bright light. Additionally, a microphone input is included and every projector in the ViewSonic 7 Series is 3D-ready to help future-proof the investment.

Equipped with advanced Crestron network control using the local area network (LAN), the entire ViewSonic 7 Series projector range can enable a central IT department to monitor the status of the devices at all times. This takes the responsibility for maintenance and management away from the teacher in the classroom and reduces the total cost of ownership.

William Tse, Country Manager at ViewSonic Australia, said, “Educators need to continually update teaching methods to effectively communicate and capture classroom attention. The ViewSonic 7 Series projectors incorporate new features that will be of most benefit to teachers, promoting improved class participation. In particular, the ability to improvise an interactive whiteboard at a click away is something that needs to be personally experienced and customers will see its potential.”

Furthermore, the ViewSonic 7 Series projector range feature USB and LAN display flexibility, providing the option to send content to the projector either via USB or LAN, plus to enhance ease of use, all devices come with a microphone input as standard, allowing the presenter to simply plug in and speak in a normal tone of voice rather than having to shout out loud
