FINDING NEW CUSTOMERS IS THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE – SAY 77% OF AUSSIE MARKETERS

Customer Acquisition and Avoiding Budget Waste are Top Concerns for 2011

Sydney, 26.05.11: AMI* research has revealed that the top future priority for Australian marketers is to acquire new customers, with over 77% of participants highlighting this as their main focus for 2011. In addition, a massive 60% of participants also admitted that maximising efficiency of marketing spend is a major challenge.

The findings are an indication that the economic downturn is still affecting marketing, forcing businesses to become more shrewd with budget allocation and to generate measurable ROI from their marketing strategies, in the form of sales conversions.

To enable marketers to eliminate budget waste, lead generation expert, emedia, has introduced a new cost-per-lead (CPL) option, where marketers only pay for the leads their adverts generate. Still a relatively new concept in Australia, CPL enables marketers to run tailored lead-gen campaigns based on their requirements and budget restrictions.
