Integrated Research strengthens global operations

Integrated Research (ASX:IRI)(IR), Sydney-based global systems management software developer, announces the appointment of Doug Bertinshaw to the role of general manager - global operations.
Prior to joining IRs UK operation as general manager - European operations, Bertinshaw was CTO of Australian-based mobile communications company Retriever Communications, responsible for determining product and technical strategies and building the team and development processes necessary to deliver the Retriever wireless products.
Bertinshaw also spent eight years with Sterling Software, from 1991 to 1994 in Sydney as marketing director, and from 1994 to 1999 as development director and then development vice president for Sterlings U.S. operations.
"Doug brings with him a wealth of industry insight and corporate know-how for determining and defining the products that will drive our future business," says Integrated Researchpresident and CEO Steve Killelea.
"He will ensure that our customers investments are well protected by working closely with all stakeholders in developing our product mix, and will take a keen focus on Integrated Researchs emerging technology opportunities in areas such as IP telephony and e-business monitoring and management."
Commenting on his appointment, Bertinshaw says that Integrated Researchs long heritage in managing business-critical systems for large multinational companies puts it in an ideal position to capitalise on managing the new technology areas that are today reshaping global business.
"By maximising the resources we have at hand and continuing the good work weve historically invested in R&D, we can stay on the innovation curve while maintaining a fiscally-responsible business model," says Mr Bertinshaw.
