Paid parental leave and flood levy tools in Reckon’s latest payroll software

Reckon’s latest release of their stand alone payroll management software, Reckon Payroll Premier, is now

available in stores with tools for managing the Paid Parental Leave Scheme and the Flood and Cyclone

Reconstruction Levy included.

The software specialist says updating payroll software is a necessity this year with significant changes

occurring after June 30, 2011. In particular, tax tables have changed for the 2011/12 financial year and

employers are required to administer paid parental leave payments.

The Flood and Cyclone Reconstruction Levy will apply to employees earning over $50,000 during the

2011/12 financial year. The levy is charged at half a cent for every dollar over $50,000; and $250 plus one

cent for every dollar over $100,000.
