Transcend adds JetFlash 200 USB Flash Drive to its security lineup

Announcement posted by Dash PR 27 Jun 2011

Data protection through strong 256-bit AES hardware-based encryption

Sydney, Australia, June 27, 2011 – Transcend Information, Inc. (Transcend), a worldwide leader in storage and multimedia products today launched a new addition to its JetFlash security series – the JetFlash 200 USB flash drive. With an unbreakable 256-bit AES hardware-based encryption, the JetFlash 200 incorporates enterprise-level data security and joins the lineup of Transcend security series flash drives including the JetFlash 220 with an extra built-in fingerprint reader and the JetFlash 620 which offers the JetFlash SecureDrive password protection software for maximum protection. The Transcend Security series is engineered to eliminate the threat of unauthorised security breaches.

JetFlash 200 – Enterprise-class security
The JetFlash 200 features hardware-based encryption which utilises the industry-leading 256-bit AES algorithm that meets Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS), delivering ultimate USB protection, flexibility and management control. This hardware-based encryption ensures the encryption keys never leave the hardware device, providing superior security against unauthorised access and malicious threats.

JetFlash 220 – Let the fingerprint do the locking
Aimed at the most demanding, the JetFlash 220 fingerprint USB flash drive is ideal for users seeking reinforced data security. The upgraded JetFlash 220 also features powerful 256-bit AES hardware-based encryption. Instead of a password, the JetFlash 220 fingerprint USB flash drive provides data protection by requiring the user’s fingerprint to access files. Its unique fingerprint sensor turns the fingerprint into the only key allowed to access any files stored on the flash drive.

JetFlash 620 – Easily password protect files
The JetFlash 620 comes with the Transcend exclusive JetFlash SecureDrive software, allowing users to safeguard important data by creating a password-protected Private Zone. Users can easily resize the Private Zone and frequently change passwords for extra convenience. The JetFlash 620 security flash drive is just the thing for general users who require a cost-effective storage solution.

All Transcend JetFlash drives offer a free download of the advanced new Transcend Elite software for easy data backup, recovery and synchronisation. The JetFlash security series USB flash drives are now available in Australia and New Zealand.
