Security 2011 Exhibition Emphasises Government Focus With SCEC Endorsed Products And Services

Security Construction and Equipment Committee’s numeric rating system protects Australian Government resources

Security specialists from the public sector will be able to view demonstrations from SCEC endorsed manufacturers; workshop and develop specific security solutions one-on-one; and explore and interact with a broad range of SCEC endorsed products.

SYDNEY – July 19, 2011 – Diversified Exhibitions Australia today announced that Security 2011 Exhibition (August 24 – 26, Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre) will feature an extensive selection of SCEC (Security Construction and Equipment Committee) endorsed products and services from leading Australian and international manufacturers.

The Security Construction and Equipment Committee is a standing interdepartmental committee responsible for the evaluation of security equipment for use by Australian Government departments and agencies. SCEC reports to the Attorney General's Protective Security Policy Committee, which was established by the Australian Government to develop and establish guidelines for protection of Australian Government resource.

Applying a Good, Better, Best philosophy, SCEC uses a numeric rating system for physical security products. The rating indicates the relative security strength of a particular product, with Security Level 4 being the most secure through to Security Level 1 the least.
