Announcement posted by AMD 16 Nov 2005
AMD has appointed Jenni Ilagan as Marketing Manager, Australia and New Zealand.
In this role, she will work with channel, commercial and consumer partners to roll out and manage AMDs marketing strategies to ensure AMD achieves further sales growth in business and retail markets.
Ilagan will also be focused on developing opportunities for customers based on AMDs award-winning AMD64 microprocessors. She will continue to drive momentum in the industry towards 64-bit computing through the recent releases of dual-core Opteron and Athlon microprocessors, as well as upcoming dual core Turion mobile technology.
Ilagan was formerly the Marketing Communications Manager for Epson Australia, where she focused on volume business. Prior to that, she was channel marketing manager for the Computer Components Division at Ingram Micro Australia.
Ilagans appointment is another strategic addition to the rapidly expanding AMD team in Australia and New Zealand. This new appointment continues the momentum after the recent hires of OEM manager Iain Walker in September and National Sales Manager Caleb Leung, in April.
AMD has also appointed Sonia Phillips as Senior Marketing Executive for Australia and New Zealand. In this role, Phillips will support Ilagan in managing AMDs marketing strategies.
The appointments are a direct result of market growth and the market potential for AMD products. The investment reflects the importance of Australia and New Zealand as a key revenue centre for AMD in the Asia Pacific region.
Ilagan holds a BA Communications from University of Western Sydney and is currently completing her MBA at Macquarie Graduate School of Management.
