NZ business leaders work together to grow business

First female president of the Auckland YMCA, executive mentor Katheren Leitner, is bringing together New Zealand SME business leaders who want to work together to grow their businesses by accelerating progress, setting bigger goals and achieving results faster.

Katheren is part of peer mentoring and coaching membership organisationThe Executive Connection (TEC), which provides a confidential forum for vibrant business leaders to gain the support needed to give their business the edge in a competitive market.

“It’s incredibly important to be surrounded by people who are committed to achieving results,” says Katheren. “I hope to bring together leaders who are energised to grow strong and responsible businesses that generate high returns for all stakeholders.”

New Zealand is in desperate need of businesses that are growing and establishing long-term sustainable success, particularly in the current volatile economy.

Members of Katheren’s group will participate in ongoing peer think-tanks, one-to-one business coaching sessions and regular speaker workshops to harness the knowledge and experience of their ‘TEC group’ tooutperform their competitors.

TEC provides the skills, the environment and the opportunity for its 1250 CEOS and leaders of small and medium-size enterprises to leverage their own skills and build their confidence.

“This
fully integrated, ongoing coaching and mentoring programallows you to step outside of your business once a month to collaborate with like-minded people who understand the challenges and demands of owning a business,” says Katheren.

For the last 10 years, Katheren has been working with a wide variety of clients across all levels of business and from a range of industries.She has 20 years experience in sales, people development and business growth, and a unique ability to balance commercial reality with humanistic demands.

Katheren is also the director of the performance improvement company Training Plus, as well as a member of the International Coaching Federation and the Worldwide Association of Business Coaches. She has also been a regular facilitator and coach in the government funded Biz Training program, which supports the development and growth of small to medium businesses.

Katheren is hosting a breakfast for New Zealand chief executives onThursday, 25 August 2011at iconic Gothic House Highwic in Auckland.
