Call for Submissions - Sculptors

Call for Submissions are now open for Sculpture at Scenic World, a new world-class cultural event set in the breathtaking World Heritage Blue Mountains.

The first event of its kind in the Blue Mountains region, the annual exhibition will provide local, national and international artists a unique opportunity to showcase their works along the Scenic Walkway, nestled within the ancient rainforest.

“We are delighted to be a sharing our unique World Heritage site with the arts community” says Philip Hammon, Scenic World’s Chairman of the Board. “Exhibition patrons will be able to ride the world’s steepest incline railway in order to view the sculptures in an unparalleled setting, on the stunning valley floor.”

The sculptureexhibition will run from February 16until March 11, 2012 attracting an estimated 60,000 visitors over the 25 day exhibition period.

Participating artists for this inaugural event will vie for a $20,000 Scenic World Acquisitive Prize and trophy created by glass artist Keith Rowe.
