School-in-a-Box: taking a further step towards Corporate Social Responsibility

For the 2nd year anniversary of mytraining.net, Human Group’s online training reservation website, a new campaign entitled “School-in-a-Box” will be launched today, September 1st. The campaign demonstrates the company’s commitment of supporting Unicef* on the journey of educating children in developing countries.
For every transaction over $1000 made on themytraining.net website between the 1st and 30th of September 2011, a School-in-a-Box kit with essential school materials will be donated to help the education of students in developing countries chosen by Unicef.
“We understand that this initiative is one small step on a longer road for the future, and September is the month when everyone who wishes to develop themselves, can also make a meaningful impact on someone else’s life” emphases Geoff Rosamond, Human Group’s Managing Director.
Each kit provides teachers with tools to educate 80 children in developing countries and the goal is to reach 8000 children with the School-in-a-Box initiative**. “Our objective is to develop people’s capabilities, here in Australia, and anywhere we can have a positive impact” complements Helen Rosamond, Human Group’s Director - Projects & Operations.
The initiative was developed as a stepping stone to the Human Group’s future campaign “20 by 2020”, which will embrace contributions to build 20 hospitals also in developing countries, by the year 2020. Further details on this campaign to come.
