Temporary Gallery receives top award at the 2011 Australian Mobile Awards

The biggest and best mobile brands and apps were revealed on Thursday night at the 2011 Australian Mobile Awards.

Monday, 12th of September: The biggest and best mobile brands and apps were revealed on Thursday night at the 2011 Australian Mobile Awards.

Awards were received by some of the most innovative companies in mobile and including Sensis, Fairfax and the ABC. Leading digital creative agencies such as Creative License Digital, Webling and Lifelounge were also presented awards.

The chairman’s selection, the Gold Mobie, was awarded to Temporary Gallery, a crowd sourced online creative community, for the Temporary Gallery App. The award includes a 12-month industry mentoring scholarship to the value of $10,000 from leading members of the mobile industry.

“Winning the Gold Mobie gives us a fantastic opportunity to bring collective corporate intelligence into our community based creative platform”. Said Temporary Gallery co-founder Erik Rathmayr.

“We’ve seen a fantastic response to the Mobile Awards and it’s terrific that some of Australia’s largest brands are not just active in mobile, but creating engaging and entertaining experiences for people, the best of which we’re seeing in the Mobies,” said Mark Bergin the Australian Mobile Awards Director.

The Mobile Awards were decided by a combination of a public vote and a detailed judging panel review comprising of a variety of leading figures from across the mobile landscape.
