Aussie company Scinaptic launches OnePlaceMail Release 6; offers up free version

4 October 2011, Sydney - With the latest release of its flagship product, OnePlaceMail Release 6, Australian IT company Scinaptic is the first of its kind to tackle knowledge and records management, and information sharing in the hybrid cloud environments of collaborative workplaces.

Developed locally, the software lets end-users save and share content with metadata from the Microsoft Outlook, Office and File Explorer interface directly to SharePoint, Office 365 or hybrid cloud platforms and environments.

This is music to the ears of businesses worldwide grappling with knowledge and information sharing within office environments that are continuously adopting new cloud technologies.

Scinaptic’s CEO and Director, James Fox, said; “As companies start to use cloud environments more and more, Enterprise Content Management becomes even more important to business enterprise knowledge and records management. But critical business information is often tied to individual email inboxes, personal hard disks and shared disk drives. There has been a push from the market to address this issue, and with the new release of OnePlaceMail Release 6, we’ve done just that. Now, information on desktops can be shared safely and easily no matter what type, or how complex, the cloud environment.”

OnePlaceMail is easy to install, does not require a technician to maintain and is designed to feel like a natural extension to desktop applications. It includes drag and drop features that give users an efficient and familiar way to manage information, share knowledge and even migrate project data.

Mr. Fox continued; “This functionality enables improved collaboration and could potentially revolutionise how projects are managed across offices worldwide. It also allows companies to better meet regulatory and governance with regard to record keeping and compliance management.”

In an unusually altruistic move for an IT company of its caliber, Scinaptic has launched a free version of OnePlaceMail Release 6. The special OnePlaceMail Express Edition is not just a limited version of the software—it’s a comprehensive edition designed to give companies a taste of how valuable the technology can be.

“We honestly believe that this product has the capacity to spark great innovation in business. It allows enterprise knowledge to be seamlessly stored and shared, and critical records captured and managed, rather than lost at the hands of inefficient filing or complex IT platforms. That’s why we created this robust free version of the software, to show businesses how they can keep capturing knowledge despite the proliferation of new technologies and cloud sharing. There’s just so much to be gained from a smarter, more collaborative approach to information sharing and we want all businesses to have the opportunity to experience it.”

For more than ten years, Scinaptic has worked with leading organisations to help capture, manage and access corporate information assets effectively for the creation of highly productive workplaces. OnePlaceMail has been licensed to leading organisations in more than 25 countries (including the United States, UK, New Zealand, Japan, Denmark, Norway Canada, Germany and France) across a range of industries such as government, energy, infrastructure, transport, engineering, banking, and legal.

This week, Scinaptic will be looking to forge new partnerships in the United States at the Microsoft SharePoint conference in Anaheim.
