CA Technologies Employees Join Together to Support Worldwide Volunteer Month

Sixth Annual ‘CA Together in Action’ Program Tallies Over 25,000 Nonprofit Service Hours Globally

Sydney, 12 October 2011 – CA Technologies (NASDAQ: CA) today announced the kickoff of ‘CA Together in Action’, its annual community affairs program promoting volunteerism to its employees across the globe.

For the sixth year in a row, employees will join together worldwide during the month of October to support a wide range of nonprofit projects, from cleaning up parks and beaches and mentoring children to building affordable housing and feeding the hungry.

“In Australia, philanthropy and volunteerism have always been a key part of who we are at CA Technologies, and CA Together in Action underscores our commitment to making a difference in the communities where we work and live,” said Bill McMurray, Managing Director, CA Technologies, Australia & New Zealand. “Participation continues to grow each year amongst out Australian staff and so does the impact we have as our employees roll up their sleeves and give their time. It is gratifying to see their enthusiasm and commitment as we kickoff this year’s program.”

Since its inception in 2005, CA Together in Action has provided employees with the opportunity to take time from their business day to volunteer in a variety of activities that benefit their local communities.

“Every minute of every day a child is admitted to hospital in Australia. Thanks to the support of our partners like CA Technologies, Starlight is able to distract these children from their pain using fun and laughter in the 7 national Starlight Express rooms” says Penelope Sinton, Corporate Partnerships Executive, Starlight Children’s Foundation. “Starlight also provides a life changing wish every day for a seriously ill child. As Starlight receives no government funding these donations are critical to ensure our programs operate - thank you CA Technologies”.

“We are delighted to have the support once again of CA Technologies employees to assist with the bush regeneration effort in Lane Cove National Park” says Matt Springall, Acting Ranger of NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service. “It is fantastic to be a part of CA Together in Action and we thank CA Technologies volunteers for their continued work over the last 5 years”.

In Australia, CA Together in Action will support three key organisations; Starlight Children’s Foundation, Red Cross and The Smith Family.

As a global initiative, last year, employees set a program record with over 1,600 volunteers participating in more than 90 community projects around the world, representing over 5,800 volunteer hours given to help local organisations. This year, CA Technologies anticipates an even higher level of involvement across the globe with charitable work being carried out in Brazil, Germany, India, Mexico, Puerto Rico and the US.
