If we were to draw a pen portrait of a woman with either skin cancer or breast cancer, she would be older with a lifestyle and attitude reflecting her age – both are less active and more conservative than the average American woman. Skin cancer and breast cancer does not appear to be related to income, affluence or socioeconomic status. However, skin cancer is more prevalent in the Mountain region and the Pacific region of the United States.
