Innovate SA: Netherlands eco-design expert jets in!

SA entrepreneurs have a unique chance to learn from the best when Netherlands based eco-design expert Professor Albert ‘Ab’ Stevels touches down in Adelaide.

Sharing his insight with SA based business owners, Stevels explores how to connect business success with environmental issues at the Innovate SA Design for Sustainable Profits Seminar.

A Professor in Applied Environmental Design at Delft University of Technology, Netherlands and Adjunct Professor at UniSA, Stevels will guide SA companies on how to implement design strategies to assist to respond proactively to reduce environmental impacts and operational costs, increase sales, enhance brands and gain access to regulated export markets.

Also on the agenda: sustainable cost reduction opportunities, environmental benchmarking for products as well as discussion of barriers and value creation through eco-design.

With over 40 years with Philips (Netherlands) in various engineering, R&D and business management roles including Senior Manager of Environment, Stevels has also been involved in training on applied EcoDesign at various universities around the world including the USA, Berlin, Vienna, Mexico City and Hong Kong.

Prof. Stevels holds a M.Sc in Chemical Engineering and a Ph. D. degree (cum laude) in Physics and Chemistry.
