Dodo Connect retail kiosk opens in Northland
25 October 2011 –Australia’s original low cost telecommunications company Dodo Australia will launch its first ever retail kiosk today at Northland shopping centre.
The Dodo Connect retail kiosk will be the first shop in Australia to allow customers to purchase all telecommunications products and services as well as electricity simultaneously.
“Our Dodo Connect kiosk will be a one stop home services shop for Northland shoppers. At the kiosk, customers will be able to sign up for telephone, internet, electricity and gas services, collect their handset, purchase accessories for their phones and have free access to browse the net on iPads all at once,” said Kestelman.
Over the last few years Dodo Australia has invested heavily in improving its customer service division and today its customer service rates among the best in Australia.
“We have dedicated a great deal of resources to improving our customer service levels. This has resulted in considerable customer service improvements over the last two years. In terms of call centre performance, in the last 6 months our daily average answer time has never gone above 2 minutes,” said Kestelman.
“Launching Dodo kiosks is the next chapter in extending our customer service offering. Having a physical presence will enable us to provide a more personalised service,” said Kestelman.
At the end of 2011 Dodo also plans to roll-out gas retailing in Victoria which will bring them one step closer to becoming Australia’s first complete home services provider.
“Our aim for Dodo to be a complete home services provider comes down to wanting to provide Australians with more convenient options. Establishing kiosks in Melbourne where customers can purchase all products essential to the home is another step in that direction,” said Kestelman.
Over the next month, Dodo Australia will launch two additional Dodo Connect retail kiosks which will be located in Broadmeadows and Chadstone.
Dodo is the largest privately owned telecommunications company in Australia and a major player in the Australian home services market, delivering internet, phone, and electricity to more than 300,000 households Australia wide.
