From Pirouettes to Cookies

Being a professional dancer is a demanding career requiring skill, determination, discipline, standards of excellence and most of all hard work, passion and soul.When Sharon Hardy was diagnosed with osteo arthritis of the hips whilst still in the prime of her dancing career it was devastating. From the age of 2 & 1/2 dancing had been her life. "I had no idea what else I wanted to do. I hadn't even considered anything else."

After much time deliberating which direction to move, she decided that backwards might be just right. The memories of being in the kitchen with her grandmother baking, the smells, the smiles, "the way that these treats delighted people reminded me of the satisfaction you get after a great performance. Seeing how you’ve affected people positively. It's the feel-good factor."

Using the same hard work, passion and high standards from dance has now created a new 'stage' for Sharon to perform.

Her cookies are becoming extremely popular with Cafes and Hospitality venues, the new website that was launched a few months ago is getting busier each day and Redzed Cookies are now supplying several national companies.

Redzed Cookies is currently developing cookies for a specific need that have never been attempted before. "It won't be a huge income earner, but I'm hoping it will help these people in a big way"
