Men don’t just think about sex

Announcement posted by It's My Health 30 Nov 2011

According to consumer health website www.itsmyhealth.com.au you may have thought that men spend most of their waking hours thinking about sex, but it seems that this stereotype has been debunked, with a new study showing that they do sometimes think about other things.

It’s true, according to US researchers that men think about sex more often than women, but it is nowhere near the rate that is commonly suggested of once every 7 seconds.

As the researchers point out, that would be more than 8000 thoughts about sex in the average 16 hours of waking time – a rate that may well leave very little time for anything else!

Instead, they found that the young 120 men in their study thought about sex an average of 19 times a day.

Coming in a close second were thoughts about food scoring 18 a day – which may well prove perhaps that old adage that ‘the way to a man’s heart is though his stomach’.
