Wickman's releases chart of top 25 Australian auctions wines of 2011

ADELAIDE, AUSTRALIA - December 21, 2011 -- Wickman's Fine Wine Auctions has released its list of the top 25 wines sold by volume at wine auction for the 2011 period.

The data is aggregated from publicly available sales data from four of Australia's leading wine auction houses.

"Penfolds took out 19 of the 25 positions with their 1998 bin 389 cabernet shiraz blend taking out the top position and seven different vintages of Penfolds Grange from the nineties taking out seven other rankings." said wine auctioneer Mark Wickman.

Other wineries that were also highly traded were d'Arenberg the dead arm shiraz, Rockford basket press shiraz, Fox Creek reserve shiraz and Wynn's Coonawarra Estate Michael shiraz.
