MRM Group today reported an increase in revenues of its operations bizDigital, OneMedia and Safecom for fiscal year 2002. The Group has seen revenues increase from $8 million in fiscal year 2001 to $10 million in the fiscal year ending July 31, 2002. All companies in the Group realised growth in revenues.
Strong performances by each member of the Group demonstrated positively that the interactive development, media and hosting market in Australia is showing resilience. This has resulted in positive results for all members of the Group.
According to Group Managing Director, Gary Henstridge, while the market has continued to remain challenging, the diversification of product offered across the MRM Group has ensured our ability to leverage cross-brand synergies, and that we have continued to deliver high quality products and services to meet the diverse requirements of our clients.
MRM Group, which celebrated its tenth anniversary during the year, is in the enviable position of having three strong brands that traverse the interactive space. During the fiscal year 2002, MRM Group completed the buyout of APL Digital from leading advertising multinational the Lowe Group, to create bizDigital . This new entity has seen its market position consolidated with the recent appointment of new high-profile clients, building on the excellence in Internet design and usability bizDigital is well known for, while expanding the organisations offering in eCommerce and eLearning.
Online marketing agency OneMedia has also seen a continued growth in online media revenues, with the ongoing support of major industry clients. Important in this market has been OneMedias ability to refine measurement technology, with considerable investment in the tools needed to support this. During the year, OneMedia entered the global market opening an office in Hong Kong. Strong growth in the Asian interactive media market is expected to continue.
Infrastructure services company Safecom also put in a very good performance this year. Expanding on its client base the company now provides hosting services and performance solutions for many well known brands. During the year, Safecom expanded its range of services to meet client demand including developing an advanced approach to site optimisation, improved site analysis and effectiveness tools and site management support. An interesting trend has been an increase in clients seeking the robust highly available and very secure environment which Safecom has invested in.
Mr Henstridge pointed out that the Australian interactive marketplace has evolved to require many complex and specialised requirements. Through the growth of the Groups three specialist brands, MRM Group is well positioned to provide end-to-end eBusiness solutions for clients should they be required, but importantly they can take advantage of the specialist expertise offered by each company.
With the buyout of the Lowe Groups interest in APL Digital and the forming of bizDigital during the year, MRM Group and its subsidiaries are now 100% Australian owned.
