Datacom Ranked Among Most Trusted Cloud Providers in Australia

Sydney – 1 March 2012 - In just 12 months Australasian-owned professional IT services company Datacom has gained a top three place in the Longhaus list of most trusted Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) Cloud Providers, signifying a quantum leap for the company which last year rated in the top 25. Datacom also won the 2012 award for best local provider of IaaS Cloud Services.
Longhaus released the results of their Cloud Pulse report on March 1st, which looked at 175 organisations in Australia signalling a capability to provide Cloud IaaS services. 46 organisations were studied in-depth. The Longhaus Pulse determines the relative strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for service providers within Australia and defines trusted IaaS as demand elastic, self-service server processing or storage capacity provided using a pool of shared computing resources owned by the cloud provider.
Key to Datacom’s success this year has been: establishing significant clients in the cloud; improvement in time to provision; purpose built cloud contracts; and robust service level agreements along with distinct clarity over what the Datacom Cloud Services solution is.
