Latest Penfolds Grange Secondary Market Figures Released

Announcement posted by Wickmans Fine Wine Auctions 01 Mar 2012

Adelaide based wine auctioneers, Wickmans Fine Wine Auctions, have released the latest secondary market figures for Penfolds Grange and a brief overview of its current investment potential

ADELAIDE, AUSTRALIA – March 1, 2012 -- From the mid 1950's through to the late 1990's, if you purchased the latest release Penfolds Grange from your local bottle shop at the Penfolds recommended retail price you could expect to make a tidy profit by reselling it within a few months and even more if it was a great vintage and you held it for a decade or two.

That all changed when Penfolds upped the recommended retail price in the late 1990's to the, then, current auction price. Since then Penfolds have been steadily increasing the retail price until it now leads the auction price by a significant amount.

A comprehensive list of aggregated prices paid for Penfolds Grange going back to 1951 at auction around Australia is online at the Wickman's website as well as an overview of Penfolds Grange pricing history and its current investment potential.

The list and report is available online at http://www.wickman.net.au/wineauction/Grange_Prices.aspx
