Australian IT company Scinaptic releases R6.1
20 March 2012, Sydney – Australian IT company Scinaptic has just released an updated version of its flagship product OnePlaceMail, a software solution that has improved records capture and knowledge sharing in hybrid cloud environments across the globe.

The new version, OnePlaceMail R6.1, improves the user experience through a crisper interface, while offering ‘recent location’ tracking, enhanced navigation, extended user support and improved performance in both Outlook/Office 2007 and 2010. The new version still includes the drag and drop features that characterised the user-focused functionality of the earlier versions of the OnePlaceMail solution but importantly allows organisations to roll out platforms like SharePoint with greater ease.

Scinaptic’s CEO and Director James Fox explained; “The OnePlaceMail R6.1 software lets end-users save, share and access content in SharePoint and Office 365 from the familiarity of Microsoft Outlook and Office. What this means is minimal change in user behavior, which is one of the biggest challenges when implementing complex environments like SharePoint. People often resist change but with OnePlaceMail the business’ strategy isn’t jeopardised – the end user is able to capture critical information typically tied to individual email inboxes, personal hard disks and shared disk drives. All the while, using the same applications they’ve always worked with on a day to day basis.”

With the release of OnePlaceMail R6.1, information on desktops across business locations can be captured, classified and shared, to empower business users with timely information.

OnePlaceMail has been licensed in over 30 countries, to deliver enterprise email management capabilities on the SharePoint platform. The solution’s popularity is also due to the confidence it gives organisations that they are meeting regulatory and compliance obligations with regard to record keeping and also effectively utilising business information assets traditionally entombed in personal email inboxes.

Mr. Fox commented; “With OnePlaceMail R6.1 we are demonstrating how businesses can keep records and information management efficient despite the proliferation of new technologies and hybrid cloud environments.”

To this end, Scinaptic offers a comprehensive, free express edition and an enterprise edition trial of OnePlaceMail designed to give companies a taste of how valuable the technology is.

Scinaptic is based in Sydney, Australia and has partnered with organisations in Australia, New Zealand, USA, UK, Denmark and Norway, across a range of industries such as government, energy, infrastructure, transport, engineering, banking, and legal.
