Cincom's CONTROL:2002 makes debut October this year

Announcement posted by Cincom 19 Oct 2001

New program management features ideal for project-controlled manufacturing environments
Cincom Manufacturing Business Solutions has announced the release of CONTROL:2002, the latest version of Cincom Systems' popular enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. CONTROL:2002 includes a new program management suite of components for manufacturers who need program management and cost control, such as those with engineer-to-order and manufacture-to-order environments.

"The worst thing a company can do is expose inefficient, inaccurate, or untimely production processes to their customers," says Director of Product Planning, Dan Nichols. "CONTROL:2002 helps guard the process by effectively managing all the steps inherent in a customer program. CONTROL:2002 supports the management of the entire product life cycle, from inception through design and production, and throughout aftermarket service."

CONTROL:2002 allows project managers to define different work breakdown structures and track cost roll-ups, direct and indirect labour, and actual and standard costs. CONTROL:2002 continues to be fully Internet-enabled, automatically determining what products are available to sell, what revisions should be built, whether older revisions can be used up first, and when other parts can be substituted, all online. CONTROL:2002 also continues the success of its predecessor, CONTROL:2001, in handling non-project-controlled environments that do not require intricate project planning.
