DLP projectors with DynamicEcoTM mode and Crestron network control

Sydney, Australia, May 10, 2012 – ViewSonic Corp., a leading global provider of computing, consumer electronics and communications solutions, today introduced its PJD 6 Series range of intelligent DLP projectors specifically designed for the education sector. The first models to be released include the PJD6223, PJD6253 and PJD6553w.

Featuring ViewSonic’s exclusive DynamicEcoTM mode, the PJD 6 Series projectors lamp brightness can be reduced to 30%, which helps to extend lamp life and lower energy consumption. Automatically activated when no signal is present, or manually enabled via the included remote control, DynamicEcoTM also minimises fan noise to eliminate distractions during class. Furthermore, the PJD 6 Series projectors are equipped with energy-efficient LED lamps providing a green technology solution that saves money as well as helps to save the planet.

William Tse, Country Manager at ViewSonic Australia, said, “According to a Futuresource survey, projectors are only used during 23% of the class period. In the remaining time, the projectors are still running, wasting power and decreasing lamp life. The PJD 6 Series projectors with DynamicEcoTM mode provide significant energy savings along with a quieter classroom environment.”

The PJD 6 Series projectors offer up to 6,000 hours of lamp life and deliver up to 3,500 lumens of brightness for clear, brilliant images. In Dynamic Movie mode, the PJD 6 Series projectors automatically detect image brightness and adjust the contrast ratio, delivering enhanced image clarity, increased lamp life and reduced power consumption and noise. When displaying PowerPoint slides or video on the PJD 6 Series projectors, Dynamic Movie mode presents the best images for a high-quality viewing experience.

With the built-in Crestron RoomView network management software, up to 250 projectors can be centrally controlled and remotely monitored. This advanced, real-time alert system sends status updates regarding power, lamp life and unit presence to simplify maintenance efforts and can also automate device scheduling and broadcast urgent messages via closed captioning.

The PJD 6 Series projectors are 3D-ready and include 10W onboard speakers for an outstanding multimedia experience. Equipped with HDMI and RGB outputs, the PJD 6 Series projectors can be connected to two PCs simultaneously for smooth, efficient presentations. Also tailored for the teaching environment, the PJD 6 Series projectors come with handy teaching templates, preloaded images such as a world maps for geography class, a five-line musical staff for choirs and notebook paper for English lessons.

Finished with a piano black mirrored surface and geometric integrated buttons, the PJD 6 Series projectors look modern and sleek for contemporary classrooms and corporate training rooms. The lamp cover design at the top of the projectors makes it easy to replace the lamps when needed, plus versatile connectivity options ensure an excellent, high-quality teaching experience.
