Ricoh Launches the Clever Camera that Makes Digital Photography a Breeze
In September, Ricoh Australia will launch the worlds fastest digital camera in its class. The advanced Caplio RR30 is feature packed, remarkably easy to use and very competitively priced at just $799 including rechargeable Li-ion battery and 8MB internal memory.

The Ricoh Caplio RR30 is a high-resolution 3.34 megapixel compact digital camera with a 10.2x zoom (3x optical, equal to 35-105mm on a 35mm camera). Attractive and slimline, Ricoh heralds the Caplio RR30 as simply clever because users will find it simple to compose, shoot, review and utilise great looking photos every time.

Compose
The Caplio RR30 features six creative program modes. The clear LCD display makes appropriate mode selection easy as each one has a unique sample illustration to guide the user. Thus the correct mode can be easily selected and checked, making shot composition trouble-free. These modes allow optimal results in all conditions:

Shoot
The Caplio RR30 is the worlds fastest digital camera in its class with a shooting response time of just 0.22 seconds. In simple terms this allows reliable capture of action shots so that what you see is what you get.
In addition the Caplio RR30 offers three different continuous shooting modes that capture up to 16 shots in 2 seconds perfect for analysing that golf or tennis swing!

Review
The Caplio RR30 features a One Touch Review mode that allows the user to instantly review the last shot taken on the bright LCD screen without having to change to playback mode. This facility means that shots can be reviewed and deleted if not wanted immediately. Ultimately this makes the whole digital process much more efficient as unwanted shots can use up valuable memory space if not deleted.

Utilise
Downloading images is as easy as the rest of the photo taking process with the Caplio RR30. All the user need do is simply attach a USB cable between a PC and the Caplio RR30 and the camera automatically does the rest. Images, captured text and video streams can then be immediately emailed around the world, posted on websites or taken to a traditional photo-processing lab to be printed in exactly the same way as conventional photos. The advantage of digital is of course that only photos selected by the user for processing need be printed saving time and money.

Ricoh research also discovered that 44% of users were concerned about the battery life of the digital cameras. Ricoh has addressed this problem with the Caplio RR30 featuring the longest genuine rechargeable battery life currently on the market. Using the li-ion battery included with purchase, it can take up to 350 shots between charges with normal usage2 and up to 3,500 shots can be taken when operating with minimum power consumption. For improved versatility, the Caplio RR30 is also compatible with universally available conventional or rechargeable AA batteries.

Featuring 1cm macro mode for close ups, video stream mode to capture moving image clips and auto flash with red-eye reduction it has everything you would expect of a high end digital camera. But because it is the clever camera it really does make taking high quality digital images a breeze and at a truly affordable price.
