e-Sys Claims 10% of the Australian Hard Drive Market

Ashish Kapahi, General Manager e-Sys announced today that the e-Sys group had captured approximately 10% of the Australian market in hard drive sales in only their first full quarter of operation.
Upon entering the Australian market in late April, e-Sys predicted that they would quickly acquire a large portion of the existing HDD market, a claim scoffed at by a number of other distributors. From the sales already reached by E-Sys, their forecasts have proven to be accurate and consistent with similar achievements in other markets.
Commented Ian McKinnon, National Sales Manager, In the last quarter, the e-Sys group distributed over 1.56 million Hard Disk drives giving them 10.4% of global HDD market share, the largest in the world. In Australia from May through July, eSys locally sold around 20,000 Western Digital hard drives, thus establishing eSys as a distribution force in Australia. This fits in extremely well with our preliminary expectations and mirrors similar successes overseas.
During the past 6 months e-Sys Group have been implementing Navision, a mid-range ERP solution across 21 countries at a cost of over USD $500,000. This package will assist the Group in streamlining their business processes and better tracking inventory, stock levels and sales.
e-Sys Australia sees their next challenge as building on their initial success through the introduction of new products such as CPUs, Memory, Motherboards, Modems and their videoconferencing solutions.
