Cook & Pour cookware rewards via Pointpal smartphone app

Sydney, NSW 18 July 2012 -- Thomas Dux, the speciality grocer with eleven stores across New South Wales and Victoria, has launched a mobile rewards program to reach a broader audience and reward regular customers for ongoing patronage.

According to Marilla Dann, Marketing Manager at Thomas Dux Grocer, this is our first foray into mobile phone apps and an exciting opportunity to be more relevant to customers who are actively using their mobile phones to seek information about our brand.

The Pointpal loyalty app allows our customers to collect and redeem points for the free Cook & Pour cookware as well as providing convenient store information commented Ms Dann.

The Thomas Dux loyalty program is masterminded by TCC, the global shopper behaviour company with operations in over 50 countries and over 5000 completed customer promotions.

This campaign not only marks a new era in how shoppers engage with our retail clients, it also signifies the start of an extremely significant partnership between TCC and Pointpal to revolutionise the way the shoppers engage with retail brands, said Alastair Macdonald, Regional Director - Australasia at TCC Global.

Research from last years loyalty promotion showed we could significantly broaden the audience by delivering the same reward program on a digital platform, commented Mr Macdonald. The digital services provided in the Pointpal partnership will provide a quantum leap in the shopper experience and the level of interaction with a brand to provide the opportunity for significant growth in both sales and brand value.

The Pointpal app provides an easy-to-use loyalty points system for customers and retail staff, and provides real-time progress tracking and insights on usage, frequency, store patronage and other buyer behaviours.

The Cook & Pour digital promotion collects and redeems points using a smartphone and the Pointpal app. Over 18 weeks Thomas Dux customers collect stamps towards rewards in the Thomas Cook & Pour Cookware range. Pointpal is an Australian company with a client list that includes Oporto, Subway, Bakers Delight and Stella Artois.
