Remote North Kimberley wilderness retreat Faraway Bay has added exhilarating helicopter flights as an optional extra for guests during their stay at the multi-award-winning bush camp.
Tours by Truenorth Helicopters at Faraway Bay take in some of the Kimberley’s most breathtaking scenes, including Western Australia’s highest waterfall, the 80-metre twin King George Falls.
“The freedom the helicopter allows, ensures you see the Kimberley from a unique vantage point, truly capturing the magnitude, the power and the natural wonder of this ancient landscape,” said Jim Ryan, Truenorth Helicopters’ Chief Pilot.
“When we visit King George Falls for example, we fly around 500 feet, which allows us to witness every part of the falls. Here, we take some time to capture those unforgettable holiday shots, before moving on to explore the powerful King George River.”
As well as the King George scenic tour, other options include a half-day tour to the Mitchell Falls; a picnic at Eagle Falls; or a scenic tour of Kalumburu Mission, taking in Napier Broome Bay and Cape Londonderry at the most northern tip of WA.
Truenorth Helicopter’s Bell 407 aircraft features a luxury fit-out and air-conditioned comfort for single travellers, couples, or groups of up to six guests. Flights can be booked as a separate tour or as an add-on to Faraway Bay’s fully-inclusive boat cruise to the King George Falls.
Prices for tours by Truenorth Helicopters at Faraway Bay start from $518 per person (based on five or more passengers).
Accommodation packages at Faraway Bay start from $3,620 per person and are fully-inclusive. Guests enjoy scenic air transfers from Kununurra, accommodation in a secluded cliff-top cabin with uninterrupted views of the Timor Sea, all gourmet meals and beverages, fishing, boat cruises, rock art tours and activities. Bookings are strictly limited to maximum of 12 guests at any one time.
