Brennan IT unveils ‘The Buzz’ – a new bi-annual publication as part of its digital first marketing push

Announcement posted by Brennan 28 Aug 2012

Tuesday 28 August 2012. Sydney: Cloud and managed services provider to the smaller enterprise, Brennan IT, today unveiled ‘The Buzz’, www.thebuzzmagazine.com.au, a new bi-annual publication aimed at bringing a fresh and practical voice to the issues shaping the technology agenda of today’s business.

The launch issue, which explores how businesses are using technology to change the way they work, features opinions from some of the leading players in the tech industry including Microsoft, VMware, EMC, Cisco, Lenovo, Symantec, IBM, HP, RSA, NEC, Lifesize and Veeam.

Robin Marchant, national marketing manager at Brennan IT, says The Buzz seeks to fill the gap left by the departure from the media landscape of many feature based technology business titles and brings together a range of viewpoints, from key industry leaders, to provide a well rounded view on some of the significant themes shaping today’s technology discussions.

“For Brennan IT, first and foremost, we were looking for a platform to better engage with our customers around some of the big issues they were wrestling with such as mobility, disaster recovery, security, the cloud and communications.

“For the last six months, we have beefed up our digital play and have funnelled more resources into supporting this with unique, fresh and useful content to help us to better engage with our customers- and the broader market for that matter- around key issues shaping technology dialogues. We are aiming to have more conversations, and The Buzz is a great conversation starter.” he said.

Marchant says the response and support from the tech sector to get involved was overwhelming, despite the ‘no direct sales push’ editorial policy.

“We were adamant that all editorial had to be independent, useful and add value to the readers. There was no room for direct sales agenda pushing. Everyone was 100% supportive of this aim, and really went above and beyond, sharing insight and making themselves available to our writers.”

The Buzz is accessible for free and available online at www.thebuzzmagazine.com.au, and will be published in print every six months, with an aim to make it a quarterly publication in the future.

Marchant says Brennan IT is also looking at building up its library of video content, and future editions will also feature video interviews with technology leaders and users, as well as special in depth investigations to add further weight to the editorial and add value to the readers.

Brennan IT worked with agency partners The PR Group for editorial and content services and Apparent Communications for design.
