Community CPS Australia was today named Australia’s Best Credit Union in the 2012 Mozo People’s Choice Awards, only four months after receiving Money magazine’s Credit Union of the Year award.
As part of the Mozo Awards, more than 25,000 banking and finance customers across the country rated close to 180 financial institutions, judging them on overall consumer satisfaction, price, features, customer service, convenience and trust.
Community CPS chief executive officer Robert Keogh said the award was nationally regarded as the most comprehensive consumer report card on the Australian financial services industry, and receiving the top award was an exceptional achievement.
“Winning the Mozo Award and being recognised as Australia’s Best Credit Union for the second time this year is great feedback that we are meeting consumers’ needs in a wide range of categories,” Mr Keogh said.
“This award is mainly the result of our staff’s exceptional work, who go above and beyond consumer expectations, and of our members’ ongoing support and feedback, which helps us to tailor our products and services to meet the highest standards.
“The fact that these awards are based on consumer feedback makes this win particularly rewarding for us – the people have chosen us as Australia’s Best Credit Union, agreeing with Money magazine experts’ verdict earlier in the year,” he said.
Earlier this year Community CPS was named Credit Union of the Year as part of Money magazine’s Consumer Finance Awards for its outstanding member services, competitive products and strong performance in challenging market conditions.
The Mozo People’s Choice Awards, now in their third year, had more than 25,000 Australians participate in the judging process in 2012 via mozo.com.au - a leading, nationally recognised finance comparison and reviews website.
The Mozo award tops off another successful year for Community CPS Australia, following the announcement of the credit union’s financial results late last month, reporting a 3.9 per cent increase on its after tax profit ($28.2million) compared to the previous financial year.
