RIM Announces Trade-Up Program for Business Customers

Sydney, Australia – Research In Motion (RIM) (NASDAQ: RIMM; TSX: RIM) today announced a BlackBerry® Trade-Up program that can save business customers on the cost of upgrading to BlackBerry® 7 smartphones. The program provides an easy way for organisations to cost-effectively upgrade their BlackBerry smartphones to the newest BlackBerry® Bold™ models.

Business customers will be rewarded with a rebate of up to $100 per device when they trade in an older BlackBerry smartphone for the purchase of a new BlackBerry 7 smartphone.* The minimum requirement for the trade-up offer is six or more older BlackBerry smartphones. A quote for the amount of savings eligible from the trade in can be requested by calling 1800 230 074 or visiting au.blackberry.com/tradeup

In just a few simple steps, businesses can upgrade their fleet in a cost-effective way,” said Matthew Ball, Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand at RIM.

“The Trade-Up program delivers an efficient solution for businesses while also facilitating recycling options for returned handsets,” said Ball.
