Transfield Selects SAP Mobile Platform to Transform the Mobile Capability of the Entire Group

SAP® Mobile Platform and SAP Work Manager by Syclo to deliver process improvement across all Transfield’s Business Units

SYDNEY, November 8, 2012 – SAP Australia today announced that Transfield Services, a global operations, maintenance and construction services provider, has selected SAP to mobilise its portfolio of businesses.

The new holistic mobile approach will replace ageing mobile points, reduce operational costs and result in productivity savings. It will facilitate knowledge sharing between Transfield Services’ 24,000 people and enable rapid access to information in the field.

SAP will provide Transfield with a mobile application development platform including; mobile device management, mobile enterprise application management and packaged mobile enterprise applications, including SAP Work Manager by Syclo (now an SAP company).

Ivan De Oliva, General Manager, ANZ Transformation, Transfield Services said: “Standardising on the SAP mobile platform will allow us to gain better visibility and leverage best practices more easily across our business divisions. With the SAP Mobile platform and SAP Work manager mobile apps, we will be able to empower our employees— from field workers to executives — with the real-time information needed to keep ahead of competitors.”
