Announcement posted by Sphere Public Relations 14 Nov 2012

Digital advertising sales agency wins NFL.com representation

The NFL has appointed Urban Geek to represent the commercial assets of NFL.com in Australia.

For the first time, Australian brands can now purchase geo-targeted inventory on the NFL.com site through ads and customised sponsorship. NFL.com is accessible via PC, Mobile and Tablet devices, which provides robust content in news, scores, highlights, fantasy games and more.

Australia is among the Top five of international markets for the NFL in terms of traffic to the site and recent trends show a 75 per cent increase in visits since 2010 and an additional 25 per cent after the first two months of the season.

"We are very excited to work together with the NFL and to represent such a huge sport globally in the Australian market," said Nathan Ruff Managing Director of Urban Geek Media. "Its popularity has grown exponentially here over the past five years and with NFL.com now available we will be looking to expand local opportunities for Australian brands to get strongly involved with the sport."

"We're delighted to collaborate with Urban Geek to manage our NFL.com inventory in Australia," said Michael Markovich, NFL Director of International Media Business Development. "The Urban Geek team is extremely innovative and are experts in the digital management space so we're excited to extend the NFL's digital presence in the market with their support."
