Announcement posted by Kigu.Me 27 Nov 2012

It’s the ‘Onesie Sensation’ - Why wear pants when you can wear a onesie!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Tuesday 27th November 2012

After a trip to the local Seikomart grocery store in Japan, young entrepreneurs Aidan Lister and Daniel Labib found the key to every adults costume fantasy. The mythical Japanese Kigurumi, more commonly referred to as the onesie or kigu has since found its way to the shores of Australia in the hands of these two gentlemen.

Old, young or something in-between, the onesie does not discriminate when it comes to age, gender and size. Popular amongst students, festival-goers, snow enthusiasts and as grandmas’ secret pajamas, once you’re in one you’ll never want to take it off.

Already immensely popular across the international market, high profile identities to be snapped in the infamous onesie include the likes of Robbie Williams, Rhianna, boy band sensation One Direction and perhaps best of all our Australian netball team.

After their initial launch in February, Kigu.me are now Australia’s largest importer of animal onesie’s and genuine Japanese Kigurumi’s. Based in Melbourne, 100% Australian owned and operated, the Kigu.me team are responsible for outfitting over 6,000 Kigurumi customers with their selection of more than 75 onesies. The Kigu.me product development team work tirelessly to maintain a fashion-forward approach, resulting in a constantly revolving door of new animals and characters.

After months spent improving the fashion sense and comfort levels of many Australians, Kigu.me have recently undergone their own make-over with the launch of their new and improved website. Kigu.me’s new virtual space offers customers a fun interactive page to view and select their favourite design based on detailed descriptions and high quality images. It also offers customers a quick and simple cart system. Kigu.me are currently the only Australian company to also offer a 30-day return policy.

The new site also includes a Community Tuesdays page that allows Kigu.me customers to keep up to date with the charitable work run by the team, from money raised by their Kigu.me purchase. In the last three months Kigu.me have donated over $6,000.00 to charities including beyondblue, Epilepsy Australia and the Heart Foundation.

With Christmas now fast approaching, many more are expected to jump on, or perhaps more suitably into, the onesie bandwagon. The perfect outfit for a festive Christmas, the Kigu.me onesie won’t show the stomachs of those who over-indulge and are guaranteed to add to that all important Christmas cheer.
