Moddex delivers more to architects & developers with 3D modelling software

Announcement posted by Moddex Systems 30 Nov 2012

We’ve all read and heard about the outstanding value the Moddex range of handrail, balustrade and guardrail safety access systems delivers to a multitude of industries – health, education, warehouses, sports and entertainment centres as well as public access areas.

Now Moddex has taken the initiative, and has been working with the Revit® team at Autodesk, to make all its railing and balustrade configurations available in 3D.

The Moddex range of easily installed, modular handrail, balustrade and guardrail systems are now available as 3D Revit families – the drawing program used by architect firms to do all their drawings and modelled in 3D.

Revit software is specifically built for Building Information Modelling (BIM), helping construction professionals design with higher-quality results. All Moddex balustrade and railing configurations are now modelled in this program and are readily available for download from the Revit online library to architects, designers and structural engineers to use in their projects. This move by Moddex is saving these professionals a great deal of design time as well as ensuring that project design incorporates greater insight.

Moddex continues to innovate and introduce new pre-engineered, proprietary balustrade and handrailing designs that meet all industry and structural compliance requirements. With no ‘hot works’ permits required and no on-site fabrication or welding, safety hazards are eliminated and valuable installation time is saved. Moddex handrails, balustrades and guardrails are specified, sold and installed by accredited installers Australia wide.
