Sydney Photographer Launches ‘7-Year Stitch’ Project to Photograph Sydneysiders Dressed In Old Clothes

Announcement posted by RishiGraphy.com 30 Nov 2012

Sydney, Australia — November 30, 2012
Sydney-based lifestyle photographer, Rishi Ghai, has launched ‘7-Year Stitch’ — a unique and thrilling project focused on photographing people dressed in old clothes that they have had in their wardrobes for at least 7 years or longer, to contrast people’s present-day personas with their old clothing.

The project celebrates people’s personal journeys in life, whilst also encouraging them to donate old clothing in good, usable condition this Xmas season, and promoting health and fitness. “I volunteer to personally drop your donated clothing at a Vinnie’s store or a charity of your choice in Sydney after the photo shoot”, says Rishi.

To raise funds for the ‘7-Year Stitch’ project, Rishi is offering a 1-hour outdoor portrait shoot to 75 lucky Sydneysiders for just $99 each — perfect for anyone looking to update portraits of their loved ones or themselves this Christmas season. As a bonus, in addition to receiving the $99 photo shoots, the 75 lucky sponsors can choose to dress up and pose in clothing that’s at least 7 years for a chance to have their own portraits featured in the final images for the 7-Year Stitch photography project.

The funds raised from these photo shoots until December 31, 2012 would be used to cover the costs of upgrading photography equipment for the project, and producing the final photo books and individual prints.
