Announcement posted by Verbatim 10 Sep 2004

Verbatim announced today that its innovative new Store n Go 2.1GB USB HD Drive is now available. About the size of a business card, the lightweight USB2.0 micro hard drive provides reliable, portable storage for digital camera/camcorder, media player, and notebook PC files. The ultra-compact storage device can also be used for quickly and conveniently transporting large digital files between Windows, Mac, and Linux-based computer systems.
With a capacity of 2.1GB, Verbatims new Store n Go USB HD Drive stores more than two hours of MPEG-1 video, about 500 hours of MP3 Music, about 1,000 300dpi colour photos or volumes of personal and business files. The drives performance, compact size and high capacity make it ideal for videographers who want to quickly move projects from one system to another for collaborating on post-production work. The sleekly designed hard drive is also excellent for students wanting to transport files and projects from school to home as well as executives who need company presentations, addresses, databases, spreadsheets and customer files readily available. Using the protective carry pouch that comes with the drive, IT technicians can attach the drive to their belts for easy access to important files.
The new Store n Go USB HD Drive is an ultra-portable, cost-effective storage solution for business and entertainment, Alan Kleeman, Verbatim Product Marketing Manager, noted. You can use the drive to store slideshows of family photos, vacation videos and your personal MP3 selections so you can enjoy them when you are travelling, and can easily share them on a friends or family members computer. The drive is also ideal for transporting business files and documents as well as IT system files.
Using the flexible, integrated USB 2.0 cable, the Store n Go HD Drive can be quickly connected to a USB-equipped computer without having to wait for the computer to reboot. Compatible with both USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 ports, users can immediately drag and drop up to 2.1GB of files to the high-speed 4200 rpm 1-inch hard drive. After disconnecting from the PC, the Store n Go HD Drive can be placed in the supplied pouch for safe, reliable transport.
