Readify's COO and Executive Director appointed to IT Queensland Board

We are pleased to announce that Readify’s COO and Executive Director, Faith Rees has been appointed to the IT Queensland Board - an industry association that champions all Queensland owned and headquartered ICT companies.
The Association continues to expand its regional footprint, while recognising the important role that national and multinational companies play in contributing to the overall operation of the local ICT industry.
“I am passionate about the IT industry and growing the skills and reputation of the industry as a whole, this is why I am delighted to have been appointed to the IT Queensland Board. I aim to use my skills to help promote the industry and to help our member base to grow and build their businesses,” says Faith.
IT Queensland’s aims are:
- Continue to raise the profile of Queensland’s inspiring technology developers and providers.
- Use the collective brainpower of top ICT companies so that members can leverage the expertise of their peers and tackle issues unique to their profession.
- Lobby the government to address issues of concern for its members and be a source of Senior Industry ‘opinion’ to relevant industry, legislative, and academic organisations.
- Grow the association by inviting new Queensland-based ICT company members.
- Build strong contacts with global and national ICT industry companies and associations, in the interests of our local industry, inviting them to join as associates.
About Faith Rees
In addition to her current role with Readify , Faith has worked within the ICT industry for over fifteen years and during that time, has served on the Women in IT committee and was Vice Chair of Queensland .NET for several years, representing the organisations within the Queensland ICT Work Group. She has also held previous positions as a committee member of the Independent Association of Microsoft Certified Partners and President of Queensland University of Technology's Q-Step Program. Her extensive experience covers a wide range of private and public companies, and franchised entities (ranging from SME's to global corporations such as Microsoft), as well as her own small business.
In 2009, Faith was a state nominee in the Queensland 2009 Pearcey Awards, and in 2010 was a finalist in the WiT ICT Outstanding Achievement Awards.
