Pump Solutions Australasia Announces New Products and Design Changes

Announcement posted by Pump Solutions Australasia 29 Jan 2013

Pump Solutions Australasia provides guide to changes and developments in Fluid-o-Tech and Grundfos product lines.
Recently, Pump Solutions Australasia has seen a few changes to their product line. Pump Solutions Australasia was established in 1990, under the name “Pumps and Services Australia.” The founder was a German engineer who had migrated to Australia, and thought there would be a market here for engineered vacuum systems.

Pumps and Services designed and manufactured pumps for the manufacturing and fishing industries, even building and designing an automated vacuum system specifically for Geraldton Fish Markets, making the process of transporting fish from the boat to the wharf more efficient. In 2000, they began to concentrate on importing the finest pumps that Europe has to offer, and focused the manufacturing end on aftermarket pump filters.

In 2008, the company would evolve into Pump Solutions Australasia, and now wholesales and distributes pumps from all over the world. They constantly “tweak” their product line to ensure that Australians have access to the best option for every need at a reasonable price. This means that there are usually small changes in the product line every year, and last year was no exception.

The first change is from a few months ago. Fluid-o-Tech’s PO/PA 70-400 series brass rotary vane pump has a different profile now. The traditional product had a classic finned profile. The new version now has a completely smooth profile. Fluid-o-Tech made this adjustment to bring the PO/PA 70-400 series because making the same change in their other pumps had produced a superior product.

Fluid-o-Tech has also improved their TMFR and TSFR series. Both series are now in their second generation, and Fluid-o-Tech took advantage of technological advances to improve the TMFR and TSFR in numerous ways. The motor is now lighter and more efficient. The controller is more versatile; it has a wider speed range, and more control options.

This allows the TMFR and TSFR pumps to adapt to a wider range of conditions and provide the most efficient performance. Fluid-o-Tech has added an additional external board, enabling both series to respond more efficiently to changes in pressure or temperature. Despite the changes and improvements to the TMFR and TSFR series, Fluid-o-Tech and Pump Solutions Australasia have been able to keep the price in the “very reasonable” range.

Grundfos has now introduced a solar inverter that allows many of their pumps to operate solely on solar power. This has allowed Grundfos to develop pumps that provide more water than their predecessors. Since the price of solar panels has gone down recently, the market has shown a lot of demand for solar-powered pumps. This has also opened Grundfos up to being able to supply pumps for larger projects, without the need for a nearby power source.

Grundfos also introduced a new line of axial flow pumps featuring their proprietary turbulence optimiser; the KPL axial flow propeller pump leads the way. The KPL, designed for high flow at low head, has a flow capacity of up to 700m3/min at a head of up to 9m. The KPL is designed for flood control and other situations where it is necessary to move large amounts of water. KPL pumps are custom-designed for individual customer needs. They are reasonably-priced for their performance, and provide the maximum value for the money.

Pump Solutions Australasia imports, distributes, and repairs pumps for a wide range of residential, professional, and industrial uses. Their connections to elite pump manufacturers in Germany and Italy guarantee optimum performance.
