Enjoy breakfast with Readify and discover what's new in Office 2013

Announcement posted by Readify - Application Development Specialists 07 Feb 2013

The move to the cloud makes Office 2013 a very exciting release. Come to breakfast in Perth and get inside knowledge of the new features in Office 2013 from Readify senior developer and Microsoft Most Valuable Professional Jake Ginnivan.

The move of Office 2013 into the cloud has meant the end of in-process macros and add-ins. So Microsoft has built extensibility into Office and SharePoint using technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST, OData and OAuth! Also, Microsoft has put a great deal of effort into ensuring that existing add-ins and macros will work when you upgrade to Office 2013.

With Office 2013 Microsoft has also introduced an app store for both Office and SharePoint, making it super easy to distribute your application publically, or within your organisation using an Internal App Catalogue.

Jake specialises in Visual Studio Tools for Office, Windows Presentation Foundation, Silverlight and Windows Phone . As a VSTO MVP, he is a well-known speaker in the developer community who presents regularly to user groups across Australia, at Code Camps and at Tech.Ed on topics such as VSTO Development, UI Automation, Unit Testing, Windows Phone and others.

Jake also shares his knowledge and expertise through his blog, jake.ginnivan.net and enjoys contributing to the community through his extensive work on open source projects. So come along to this Readify Dev breakfast to learn how you can get started with Office 2013 extensibility now.
