Announcement posted by Reputation 25 Mar 2013

Recall Offering EVault Solution in Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand

Recall, a leader in document management, secure document destruction, digital document management and data protection, and EVault, Inc., a Seagate Company (NASDAQ:STX), announced today that they are expanding their strategic alliance into the Asia Pacific market. Recall will begin offering a range of EVault® data backup and recovery solutions, including EVault SaaS and EVault Endpoint Protection.

While the partnership began over a year ago, EVault and Recall decided to extend their cohesive data protection solutions beyond North America, Mexico and Brazil- to the burgeoning technological hub of the Asia Pacific.

The partnership will set the benchmark for data protection services in the Asia Pacific region, by offering unique solutions to the many challenges in information management.

Recall already has onsite data protection facilities in all states and territories in Australia except the Northern Territory. The presence of Recall on a local level will enable consumers to access new EVault data solutions not previously available in the nation. This will facilitate the delivery of EVault® data backup and recovery solutions, including EVault SaaS and EVault Endpoint Protection.

The partnership with EVault will further strengthen Recall’s current data services by incorporating leading onsite cloud, and hybrid data solutions.

EVault has been the industry leader in the move towards cloud-connected™ (hybrid) storage models, with a uniquely integrated ecosystem of EVault storage software, cloud services, managed services, and appliances that help ensure customers will maintain business continuity.

While the hybrid approach is not yet widespread in the Asia Pacific region, EVault’s progress will set a precedent for the market. The Forrester Report, released in February 2012, revealed the percentage of organisations in Asia Pacific expecting to leverage a hybrid approach increased from 18 percent in 2010 to 23 percent today.

Dan McFarland, President, Recall ANZ, sees the collaboration as an integral way of moving towards tailoring specific solutions to individual clients.  “Companies are increasingly putting data security on a priority fast track, and their more-sophisticated demands require flexible and secure solutions. Our partnership with EVault has allowed us to provide best-in-class options to customers with various needs ranging in industry and size. Moving into the Asia Pacific region presents exciting new opportunities.”

“In today’s growing information-based economy, data security and accessibility has become a critical component for business continuity and productivity,” said Paul Hartzell, vice president for the Asia Pacific region, EVault. “Working with Recall gives us the ability to harness our individual strengths and provide customers more customized offerings tailored to their specific information technology needs. By extending our partnership into the Asia Pacific market, we are able to capitalize on a growing market and deliver cloud-connected solutions to a new cadre of customers who rely on their data to keep their businesses up and running, no matter what.”
