Announcement posted by Brennan 26 Mar 2013
The April issue of ‘The Buzz’, which runs at 68 pages, discusses big data and how organisations of all sizes can benefit from its potential. The magazine also features articles exploring mobility, security, licensing, collaboration and the cloud, with commentary from some of the leading players in the tech industry including Cisco, Citrix, VMware, EMC, HP, LifeSize, Microsoft, NEC, RSA, Samsung, Sophos, Symantec, Veeam, Avaya, Autodesk and Sourcefire.
Edited by Haymarket’s group online editor Brett Winterford, with an editorial team of 12 journalists, ‘The Buzz’ seeks to fill the gap left by the departure from the media landscape of many feature based technology business titles and brings together a range of opinions to provide a well rounded view on some of the significant themes shaping today’s technology discussions.
Commenting on its partnership with Haymarket Network to manage the production of the quarterly title and web offering, Brennan IT’s national marketing manager Robin Marchant said it was a unique opportunity to tap into the publishing and advertising strength and of a leading media house.
“It is a big task creating a 68 page print magazine and supporting website twice yearly. Haymarket has the infrastructure to seamlessly drive this program for us, as well as support it with an integrated sales and advertising platform to drive subscriptions.
“The response and support from the tech sector to get involved and lend a voice to the editorial has been overwhelming. At the end of the day, for us The Buzz is all about driving quality conversations with our customers across the Australian mid-market,” adds Marchant.
Managing editor at Haymarket Custom Publishing, Steven Kiernan said The Buzz is more than a magazine, it is a new brand that uses print, online and social media to speak to the business community.
“The Buzz aims to cut through the confusion. The Buzz magazine uses all the tools of magazine craft – engaging design, a variety of accessible content, customer stories and case studies – to get clear information through to customers.
"Creating a new, standalone magazine brand in the tech media landscape is not for the faint-hearted. It is a confident move that shows Brennan IT's ambition and its commitment to its customers. It was a delight to work with a company like Brennan IT that so clearly understands the needs of its customers and the trends in the tech market," says Kiernan.
