Close to 40,000 votes were received from the general public this year when the online voting system closed on September 15. Each voter was allowed to vote for a minimum of five nominees and a maximum of 41 nominees.
The number of votes received for the nominees was influential to the SOE Board of Governors in deciding who the final 41 honourees would be. The honourees were also selected based on other judging criteria, including growth potential and the inspiration behind the business.
We were able to come to a conclusion of who these 41 finalists would be thanks to the strong participation and support received from the public this year, commented Richard Eu, Chairman of SOE. These honourees are an inspiration to all of us, and we look forward to recognising their hard work and enterprising spirit at the awards ceremony.
