PRESS RELEASE

Melbourne, May 8, 2013 - The Mayor of Dandenong, CR Angela Long and Recall Operations Director Mark Cole have opened Recall’s newest Secure Destruction Services (SDS) facility in Dandenong- marking Recall’s commitment to growth in Australia.

Recall is a leader in information management across all aspects of the data lifecycle, ranging from document storage and management, digital document management, and destruction, through to backup and recovery solutions. The facility provides a safe and highly secure way for local Melbourne businesses to dispose of their data in multiple formats such as paper and digital media.

The facility has been designed according to Lean Six-Sigma methodology, which will increase efficiency and minimise waste, through improved turn-around times, process automation and process centralisation.

During the opening event on 7 May, Recall’s Operations Director, Mark Cole, expressed excitement about the operational capabilities and extensive security features the new facility will bring to local businesses.

Mark commented, “We are delighted to be opening this new secure destruction facility. It is our commitment to our customers to provide them with best-in-class service and efficiencies in a secure and controlled environment. With identity theft on the rise and strict privacy legislations being enforced, it is important for our customers to know they can trust Recall with their secure information.”

The secure facility features swipe card entry at all access points, screened personnel with controlled card access, surveillance cameras and intrusion detection systems, full perimeter fencing and motion detection CCTV.

In addition to latest security technologies, Recall is committed to reducing its environmental impact, implementing sustainable business practices. Once securely shredded, all paper materials are sent for recycling through dedicated partnerships. Recall also monitors and manages the environmental impacts at the site, including any chemical use and the environmental footprint of its transportation networks.

The new facility will provide services across Melbourne and was chosen due to its close proximity to major transport connections into the CBD and the metro.
