OKI printers: Reliability backed by a 3 year warranty

In another industry-leading move, OKI Printing Solutions has introduced an extended three-year warranty cost-free for its complete range of colour, mono, and multi-functional printers in New Zealand.
From 1st of April, the registration of every new printer or multifunction device results in the extension of the standard one year warranty to a full 36 months, giving OKI printers one of the industry’s most confident warranty programmes ever.

According to Comworth OKI product manager Paul Francois, OKI is putting its money where its mouth is. “OKI has long claimed that its single-pass digital LED technology delivers reliability which cannot be matched by any other print method. That reliability is proven in the field and now, by extending the warranty on all registered product, OKI is standing by that claim in a tangible way.”

OKI machines are ‘reliable as’, continues Francois, thanks to their robust construction. But it is also the way paper moves through them and the method used to create the image that delivers unique advantages. “Other printers bend paper as it goes through the machine, leading to an increased likelihood of jamming. By contrast, OKI machines deliver a single, flat path through the device. This means less paper jams and greater speeds ,” he notes.

The advantage of digital LED (Light Emitting Diode) technology in printers - pioneered  by OKI – is thanks to its solid-state. “When other printers were still using a  complicated and unreliable set of mirrors and lenses, OKI developed the LED printhead as a light source.  With no moving parts, that means a better image with a whole lot more reliability – so much so that providing a 3 year warranty is economically possible,” Francois points out.

In short, he says the introduction of the extended warranty on all registered OKI devices reflects total confidence in the robustness of the machines.

“OKI is manufactured to the highest possible standards, incorporate unique technology and are now backed by a warranty that provides piece of mind for the business market.”

Francois says the warranty is easy to initiate by registering online providing name, address, product serial number and the date of purchase.
